Trustee Report - Sept 2018

Welcome to the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year to all our students and staff of Christ
the Redeemer School Division! I hope your summer was restful and filled with great memories.
As trustee of our Brooks Catholic schools, I wish each and everyone a wonderful, faith filled
education this upcoming year! There are many events carried on in all our four Catholic schools
throughout the year and we hope all our parents, their families, St. Mary’s Parishioners and the
Brooks community feel welcome as they join us celebrating with students of these schools.
Your involvement in our schools is so appreciated and is critical to building a faith filled
Catholic education environment in our community.
I would also like to extend on behalf of all our Christ The Redeemer family, a most warm
welcome to our new St. Mary’s Pastor; Father Marino Infante! We are very excited to work with
Fr. Marino as he begins his ministry in Brooks and area! Please join us as we celebrate masses
and all the scheduled faith events in our schools this school year.
The division board of trustees will begin its calendar year with several events in September,
Including its first board meeting in Oyen. PACE ( Parents Advocating Catholic Education ) will
be presenting to the parents of Assumption school in Oyen at the same time. CTR Board
members and senior administrators will be attending a symposium presentation in Calgary
discussing “Issues and Legal Challenges In Catholic Education”
